"Relais Garbatella is well-situated in a very local Roman neighborhood in Garbatella. A hop skip from Colosseum, 3 metro stops away on Line A and also conveniently accessible to Termini; might I mention that the Garbatella metro station is only 2.5 streets/blocks away. My liking of Relais Garbatella began well before stepping foot on the property. Luca’s above and beyond hospitality came in the form of openness with accommodation requests, answering questions about Rome, or needing extra supplies...

"The hotel's location is very convenient, just a short walk from the train station and only one stop away from the Colosseum. The rooms are small, but they have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options. "Really helpful staff. Coffee machine, crockery and cutlery in communal area. Comfortable, clean, effective AC. Fridge in the room. Water, milk and juice boxes provided along with croissants and various other items for breakfast. Handy for the metro, with a nearby supermarket. Lovely restaurant just over the road and a nice little bar just around the corner. Various other shops and eateries nearby (although we didn't try them all). Overall, an excellent base for exploring Rome!"

"This place needs to be updated- the picture does not match the actual. The mattresses, beddings, and towels were so worn out. The air conditioning unit is so old and dusty. Also, it is not close to the historic center nor the Termini station."

"Great place to stay, lots of yummy food options close by. No staff on site, but that was fine. AC available in the room, which was so great after hot days walking around exploring the city. I would definitely stay here again."

"It’s very clean, and neat. It’s just a hotel to stay & sleep they don’t have common areas or a gym and bar like other hotels. My stay was safe and comfortable. The staff were easy to contact. Its a great location, 20 mins from aroma Termini, 3 mins to Basilica Giovanni lateran and scala santa, 15-20 minutes to The Colosseum. 2 mins bus and taxi station. There’s a convenient store around the corner as well to buy food, water and toiletries. I would definitely recommend."

"The area was nice and quiet, but only a 5-10 minute, beautiful walk to the Coliseum district. The room was big and well presented. Everything worked as promised. The balcony was amazing. It is so big and wraps around a corner so you can choose shade or sun. It’s lined with plants and flowers which gave some privacy, but also an at home feel. "The lady who checked me in and out was very helpful and good. It was so nice to have a balcony, especially with it being so hot, sit and enjoy the sun for a moment when I got back. Not much choice at breakfast. The evening meal was a set menu and the three courses were very nice. Had a wonderful waitress on the evening who explained what every meal was."
