"This was an interesting place. it is not a typical hotel being a 'co-living' centre with several long stay options as well as short stays. It is to the north of the city centre but within easy reach of tram and bus. The room was clean, comfortable and while not luxurious had all that could be asked. There is no restaurant or bar but the Halle Bacalan is a 10 minute walk away with a range of food bars. Breakfast is self service and fine. The staff were friendly and helpful providing advice...

"The Mondrian Bordeaux Les Carmes is a beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel common areas and rooms are beautifully and comfortably decorated. It’s a peaceful oasis amidst a busy city. We very much enjoyed the outdoor terrace and the spa. The hotel is located in the Chartrons neighborhood on the North side of Bordeaux. "Very friendly staff, comfortable and spacious accommodation. Only challenge is an accurate understanding of meeting arrangements to gain initial entry: Staff was waiting inside, unbeknownst to us, whilewe were waiting outside ! Instructions should stress “ring doorbell on arrival”, and provide location, since it’s a little hard to find, especially in the dark. But otherwise a truly lovely choice in Bordeaux."

"We had an amazing stay, our room with the terrace was gorgeous, so light and fresh. We really enjoyed use of the hot tub. A great breakfast each morning with fresh and yummy ingredients. Parking a real bonus - very secure and large enough for our van. The location was perfect, very central to all the main sights. Would definitely recommend and stay here again"

"Staff was amazing throughout the stay and the room was impeccable. We loved the suite, the finishes, and the balcony. Bed was super comfy. Cocktail bar downstairs is underrated, not sure why it seemed empty because the bartender was a master and their gin selection was very impressive. Breakfast in the morning was also well worth it, the chef was very attentive and her food was delicious. We 100% plan to return and would highly recommend booking the suite for your stay. "

"Room was clean and very nicely appointed. I missed the instructions for access as my phone wasn’t receiving messages and didn’t realize it was a keypad entry which I needed a code. Luckily the coffee shop attached to the property had a nice fellow who gave us access to the key box and gave us the exterior code. "Hôtel agréable, deux observations, décalage entre ce qu’annonce expédia et la réalité sur l’heure de départ (c’est bien 11 mm et non midi) et ensuite, il ne faut une chambre qui donne sur la rue Lucien Faure car c’est très bruyant et mal insonorisé Sinon, chambre spacieuse, personnel très agréable, bon rapport qualité prix"

"As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again."

"It is a little far from the city center, but you can walk to the excellent wine museum. The hotel is clean and nice, but we were surprised that there was no refrigerator in the room, especially since it can be warm during the day. It may not be suitable for guests who like to have cold water available, like at home."
