"Enjoyable stay in Vila Real. The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a good location for exploring the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was fresh with a good selection each morning. The room was well maintained and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. A great base for visiting the Douro region and nearby attractions. Would happily stay again."

On a vraiment l’impression d’être dans un petit B&B chaleureux plutôt que dans un grand hôtel, ce qui rend l’expérience très conviviale et reposante. L’endroit est aussi très bien situé, à environ 15 minutes en voiture de Peso da Régua, où l’on trouve plusieurs excellents petits restaurants. "We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 12. We visited in March and it was very quiet/serene. Portovella has a beautiful view of the Douro. Riverside walk is just several steps down a hill. Photos don’t do it justice because it is so breathtaking in person. The comfort suite was the perfect size with 2 bathroom ensuites and a powder room. View from the suite was incredible. Just plan ahead if you’re staying on a Sunday as many restaurants were closed but we found a gem in Cinfaes - Sabores e...
