"This was truly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I could live with the fact the room was on the 4th floor, up loads of stairs and had no air conditioning so felt like being slow cooked the whole time I was in there. "Although our room was spartan in decoration, the staff were exceedingly friendly, kind, and accommodating. I would have liked a bit more storage space and two bottles of water rather than one. The rooms were made up quickly. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The bar had a tremendous selection and a knowledgeable bartender. Also, the food was very tasty. The concierge was a miracle worker. I recommend staying at this hotel."

"This looks a grand hotel, the arrival departure whilst busy was fine, staff throughout are very friendly and polite. Breakfast was plentiful, restaurants fine one night I dined in. Service is great, loved spa treatments so much, would love to give it 5 stars for the staff and service but it’s still seemingly going through an upgrade. It just feels a bit dated in parts, marks and lumps missing on walls, old decor etc."

"It was really unfortunate that there had been a heat wave which killed the aircon for a lot of rooms - mine included. So hot and uncomfortable without it but I realise that this is possibly not the norm for the hotel. Staff of course were powerless.
