"Our stay at Derwent House was exceptional. It was a lovely facility, clean, beautifully decorated with African art. The breakfasts were fabulous--many choices hot and cold, tasty and filling. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. The location is close to dining on Kloof Street and reasonably priced Uber rides get you to all the sights in the city. We could see Table Mountain from our room. I can't say enough good about this establishment and will recommend it to anyone traveling to Cape...

The sea facing room was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. Also the aromatherapy was such a great relief to the senses. "Nice Hotel and Staff in a great location with Unresponsive Management. We booked a 2 Bedroom Suite during a Heat Wave and could only use one Room due to an inoperable Air Conditioning unit. I was told their Maintenance person would try to make a repair for 3 days straight and no one ever showed. I emailed the Manager named Mario who still has not replied in over a week.A most unfortunate situation."
