It’s not a 5-star hotel but has everything you need for a relaxing trip for a great price!! Worth it. Staff are all friendly. Pool and eating area on roof is small but it’s not crowded so it’s greet for working and relaxing… Beach clubs are only 5 mins walk away - and shopping as well.

Overall the KOA Surfer was a wonderful hotel for my adult daughter and I to stay in for 7 days. The hotel is clean, well managed, AC, refrig, bathroom and outlets all working. We had a room with 2 twin beds and they were long and wide enough for my 6 foot frame. The buffet breakfast had a good variety of food, made to order omelettes or eggs and lattes made to order from the breakfast bar. All the staff from the front desk to housekeeping were welcoming, friendly, helpful and responsive to our minor requests and/or questions. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach-about 15 min. walk but we chose to take a GRAB car that were abundant in and around the hotel with clean cars and friendly, competent drivers. We would definitely stay at the KOA Surfer hotel again.

The staff was professional, polite, accommodating and pleasant. We were 2 people and every day we had to ask for 2 xtra towels and toilet paper each day which was a bit inconvenient. Overall everything was a 4.5/5. We would stay there again:)

Awesome stay
Awesome stay. Hotel has everything you can think of. Cafe on rooftop with pool and lounge area. Mini spa downstairs. Great location. And great clean and comfortable modern room with modern bathroom.

Rooms was nice but I was located on 5th floor with plant room making noise all night above. Elevator broke down and the front stairs are dangerous. Had to use back stairs. The hotel does have nice pool and bar on roof. Restaurants and shops are within ten minutes walk. Beach about same distance. Walking anywhere from hotel is not good as you need to walk on the road. No street lights at night. Stuff could have better training. 3 pm checkin is not good.

I go back every year. The staff is kind and courteous. The hotel is very affordable and offers all the same amenities as high end more expensive hotels. It’s a great location and right by the beach.

Lovely modern hotel,beautiful rooftop pool and 'beach area' that we mainly had to ourselves, friendly and helpful staff - we only stayed one night but wish we stayed longer. The only issue we had was location as a bit out of teh way from central canggu but quick taxi ride. breakfast was basic but adequate. seen comments about staff not speaking English and I do not agree with this - everyone was very friendly and helpful

Nice hotel,pool was good and staff are very friendly it’s about a 5 minute walk to the beach and there’s plenty of restaurants with in 2 minutes .. I would recommend it

Bargain but obvious why.
Bit of a tired hotel. Seems like somewhere that’s about to go bust. Everything was okay. Lifts smelt horrible. Shower was mould smelling and the pool area needs some love. All in all cheap hotel night it’s worth it. But wouldn’t stay on purpose.

It’s was close to berawa surf break and a lot of good places to eat nearby or a short ride on a bike. Definitely not a walking part of Bali. The room smelled at first and was small and run down . I got Bali belly while I was there so it put a negative on my experience there. Much rather be down the Bukit where the beaches are 10 times better.

Good & quiet stay
It is a good hotel to stay, but only has limited shops in the hotel. The nearby shops are a distance away, which needs to take some transport to reach.

Excellent location! It’s a 6-7 min walk to the beach and some restaurants/bars, or a quick 1-2 min scooter ride. The staff is super friendly and was always quick with all service requests. The room was enough for two people and had a good working AC system.

Very average - room felt more like a motel. If you’re looking for the basics, this would do. The lights were broken in our hallway, so it made it look pretty sketchy, our shower head was half broken so water would shoot out of the shower. Towels had some intense stains on them, food was mediocre - as was the “spa”. Was in a good location and walking distance to the beach, Finns beach club and some nice restaurants and shops.

After staying at a nearby hotel with the same rates and description this was a total disappointment. The AC leaked, the shower water soaked the entire room. The sheets were musty. Overall, a poor experience. The staff did not mention where to go nearby but I quickly realized rhe streets were NOT lit at night making it dangerous to walk even 5-7 minutes to eat nearby.

We loved the convenience of the location . The pool is super nice on the roof, could use more lounge chairs and umbrellas but still nice . Our shower did not work well. The handle to turn on and off kept falling off and trying to attach it was a pain in the ass. Breakfast was 7/10 but for the money it’s hard to beat

We stayed small family of 3, its great for families but since it caters to surfers there are a ton of people smoking everywhere, the breakfast in the morning is a nice touch, depending what room you get it can be noisy, but overall great experience for the price. The wifi btw, was ok, not great.

The location was great for where I needed to be everyday. The hotel I relatively new and therefore in good condition. I had a small balcony and a good aircon unit. Mainly catered for young holiday makers; given the location and style of hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and there was an airport transfer which was also really convenient. Breakfast was OK, not great but also not terrible. Coffee didn't taste great either but this was a running theme in the area. Walking distance to the beach
