"Our stay at the St. James Hotel was great. Highly recommend the river view rooms. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The "Scarlet Room" restaurant has great food and drinks, with attentive servers. The only issue was the sitting chair in the room had a broken arm rest, but i don't believe the management was aware of that."

"The hotel is great for those who don’t want to be bothered. It’s a nice place just a little worn down. Pool was amazing! Breakfast was great! but the rooms need updating. No fan in the bathroom so the bathroom stayed moist. Beds were a little hard but not bad. Ac was great. Parking lot a little dark so it can be a little creepy but that meant no bright light shining through the curtains. Great check in easy and fast. There was a guy outside, felt like every time I would let my dog out he was there, was odd but not menacing. Stayed for 3 nights. This hotel is dependent on the kind of person you are. If your looking for somthing with decent rates a hot breakfast and a pool, I’d reccomend it. But if your used to nice hotels you will not like it."
