"We booked the Premium Suite, which included a second room. Our stay included daily breakfast, and because we were Premium guests, we also had access to the 6th-floor lounge. The lounge was a wonderful and convenient amenity for us. They offered a variety of drinks, appetizers, pastries, and light food options, and we took advantage of it almost every day. The hotel also had four restaurants, although we didn’t get a chance to dine at any of them. Barcelo also offered 24-hour room service, which was a nice added convenience. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, the buffet-style breakfast had plenty of options, and the balcony view was beautiful. We would definitely recommend it."

"Clean rooms, we were happy to have a 2 bedroom suite! Off-street parking, which is not easy to find. We walked to restaurants and around the park, and the breakfast was outstanding! Made to order omelettes, pancakes, beans and rice, sausage, fresh fruit and much more! The property was lovely with lots of plants. Highly recommend!"

"I stayed in the women’s-only Dormitory A and had a wonderful experience overall. My dorm mates were all incredibly kind, and I even made a lovely new friend during my stay. It was such a unique experience meeting people from different parts of the world, and I'm so glad this was my first hostel experience. One area that could be improved is the check-in process. I arrived around 9:30 p.m., but there was no one at the front desk. One of the staff members told me someone would be with me shortly, but after waiting about 10 minutes, no one came. That staff member then stepped in to help me check in. The process took another 20 minutes, and without any guidance, it was a bit stressful trying to figure out where to go late at night. Aside from that, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hostel."

"Everything this hotel had to offer was amazing which made for a great stay. Restaurant, Spa, Casino & Bars all on site were all a great experience and made for a great vacation. The downtown location made for a perfect central base for getting out and exploring all of Costa Rica with an agency right across the street for booking tour guided excursions. The entire hotel staff was very nice and helpful in every way. Their drivers for their provided shuttle service got me from airport to hotel on my arrival and from hotel back to airport on my departure. 5 stars all around."
