"Great location, but small details let it a bit down. The location in El Born is genuinely hard to beat — steps from Santa Maria del Mar, surrounded by great restaurants and bars. The evening Italian restaurant on-site was a real highlight, and breakfast was decent. That said, a few things stopped us from fully enjoying the stay. We paid extra for a room with a balcony, but what we got was essentially a French balcony — a railing 40 cm from the wall, with no room to actually stand outside. And...

"Excellent location. Walkable to tons of the places that make the Gothic quarter special. Very reasonable walk to the waterfront as well. There is a lively plaza behind the hotel with some kind of band that played most nights but they were quiet by a little after ten and besides them you really couldn’t hear much noise from outside at all as the windows and walls are very well sound proofed. "The only negative thing I would say is the picture advertising the hotel no way reflects what a great stay this was. The picture just shows where you get the elevator to go to the second floor of the building where the hotel is located. This was one of the best places we ever stayed."
