"We’re already planning to return; very impressed with this gorgeous hotel. Beautiful room, amazing power shower. Even oat milk sachets in room. Catered for one of our party who is vegan. Very clean. Was a touch chilly in our room but nothing too troublesome, it was a very cold day. Breakfast was great, lots of veggie and vegan options. Well done. "

"Close to the train station, friendly and helpful staff, bar and restaurant (which serves pizzas if you arrive after the restaurant closes). Rooms are basic and a bit tired but clean and beds are comfortable. No aircon. "

"Staff are excellent especially Neil on the reception desk. Pub across the road. City centre 10 minute walk. Room excellent too. Breakfast is also excellent aswell. Can't fault this hotel. "

"Room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The creaky floorboards were a bit of an issue, very loud in both the room we stayed in and the one directly above us! It is however a very old building so that is to be expected. The lift wasn’t working but wasn’t an issue as we were on the second floor. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food but the location was ideal"

"Room was nothing like posted in pictures on web site was absolutely disgusting Whole place smelt of people smoking canabis even though there was no smoking policy . Car park was full of dog faecea. Glad my car was still there as parking was horrendous. Wouldnt recommend at all. Bedding was all stained covered in dog faeces"

"We recently stayed at this lovely cottage in Carlisle with my two children and had an amazing time. The place was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage had a lovely big garden with beautiful views, and there were some great walks nearby which we all enjoyed. The host was welcoming and made sure everything was just right. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!"

"Upon checking in was greeted by an unfriendly team member who was not welcoming. There is no lift in this hotel so we had to take our luggage down stairs and then upstairs which was horribly inconvenient. The room was ok but with no air conditioning it was much hotter inside than it was outside. There was a fan in the room that could have been turned on for us but wasn’t. There was only one towel in the bathroom, so my husband and I had to share as when we realized it was too late to request...
