"Everything was really good. It’s a good location for someone who doesn’t want to stay right in the town. We were initially situated in a suite near the laundromat and it was very loud. Front desk was quick to offer us another room. Unfortunately, housekeeping missed us and for a hotel where we’re paying a resort/facility fee + parking fee, it was a little disappointing. "I had a very lovely stay! The location is great…very close to everything you could possibly need. The room was spotless and had lots of amenities…fridge and microwave were perfect! The bed was super comfy too! They have laundry on site and you can also refill water legacy was very helpful! Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning to this property and highly recommend!"

"Yes you check in at the gas station! That’s ok, gas station is also a good minimart. There is no after hours clerk and gas station attendant didn’t understand that he had our keys. Room was ok, property is quite dated, but is kept up well. Gas is cheapest at their station!"

"We just finished a 3 night stay at Sunset Inn. It was a nice, little place a few blocks from the ocean. It was clean, quiet and safe, comfortable bed and a nice neighborhood. The provide a nice basic breakfast with oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. We would definitely stay here again on a return trip to the area. Very convenient for exploring Carmel and Monterey. The staff was very friendly and helpful too."

"This is most certainly an older hotel but the room was completely updated and had a super comfortable bed and pillows, great shower, nice Kerig coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The place was immaculately clean! We would only have hoped to have two bedside tables but there was just one. Parking was easy and just steps from the room. It felt safe and convenient to shopping and restaurants. We highly recommend staying here!"

"My husband and I drove the coast of California from Paso Robles to stay here in Monterey. After a long day of driving, we were thrilled to enter the building and hear they have upgraded us to partial ocean view. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed a relaxing view before dinner. It is centrally located near lot of activities, cafés, beaches, and more! I would like to also give a special shout out to Stacy at the front desk, who was so kind and greeted us and gave us food recommendations and things...

"Amazing hotel!!! The staff were so friendly and accomodating. The only thing is that there is no A/C since the property is older so keep that in mind BUT they do have fans to give you if needed. But they were amazing, bed was comfy and great views"
