"Had a wonderful stay here. Incredibly personal touch from all the staff referring to me by my name, which made me feel very comfortable. An incredible property rich in history, with a modern, well-equipped room to compliment it. Food options were extensive and delicious. Breakfast was great, very high quality, and very attentive staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. "

"Used as a place to recover from laser eye surgery. Very clean, very quiet (even though I was facing the busy car park), good blackout curtains, and decent sized rooms. "

"Amazing hotel, adequate spa. Whilst the pool is slightly warmed it quickly turns cold and it is missing a jacuzzi badly. Service in the hotel is second to none, every meal was lush and breakfast especially good. All the staff were courteous and prompt with any request. Would definitely stay again in a heartbeat, just leave the trunks at home."

Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. "

"Rooms here are great, each one is quirky in their own way, and a lovely touch to have radio playing in room as background music on arrival. The 2 ladies that greeted us on arrival were welcoming and showed us all (4 guests) to our rooms. Evening meal in the bar was great too, cold and frosty outside, the pub reminded me as something out of The Holiday!!!"

Our one-bedroom suite was super nice, clean and very comfortable — it truly felt like a home away from home. "We were attending an event at the Royal Amouries Museum and the hotel is perfectly located for this - just a couple of minutes walk from the main entrance. The room we had was very spacious with a large bed and sofa bed. Perfect for the three of us. The shower was powerful and had the addition of shampoo and body wash.
