The whole place was very clean, and they had thought about everything a guest might need. Breakfast was lovely, and choices were varied. They could charge more, it's great value for money. "This reservation was only partially completed. Left quietly. One small bedroom with a macerating toilet. Personal space minimal and expectations of hosts seemed family-like. Not a comfortable situation for me."

"The Art Bank is the perfect place to stay in Dalbeattie. It’s unique with its colourful rooms and selection of art. The breakfasts are incredible and Mandy/Ange make you feel welcome. Doggy friendly too. We look forward to our next visit."

"The hotel is a stately home. More like a Manor that is just outside Penpont; Thornhill is just a 5 min drive. It’s located in a gorgeous area surrounded by lovely old oak trees and the Scaur River. Excellent for a good walk. "

"The most beautiful and most unique property to explore this part of the country. Margaret and Malcolm, as always, were so welcoming and provide top class accommodation with the most stunning views. Tiffy, our dog, was made most welcome with a lovely bed and treat bag. Such a safe and protected space for her. Will definitely be back for our third visit! "
