"Well done Ellison hotel! Wonderful staff. I've been to numerous hotels and have never seen one where everyone was so kind, attentive and welcoming. In addition, excellent rooms and facilities, great food (e.g., best seafood chowder I've ever had) and central location with all shops within short walking distance. Though I was on a business trip, I had time to admire some of the beauty of Co. Mayo and fell in love with it. "

"A large, comfortable and quiet room. Excellent and friendly staff throughout. The restaurant did not have an a la carte menu, but a choice of two grand set menus, which was a shame as we didn’t want multiple courses each evening. We ate from the bar menu each evening, which was a bit of a let down as far as choices. The menu seemed to favour beef, chicken or vegan with no pork or lamb offerings at all. Good breakfast. Apart from the limited food we had a pleasant stay, but I’m not sure I’d rush...

"The room what freezing the heating didn't work the shower didn't work there was stains on the walls we where moved from the room at 10 at night with two young kids and put in a worse room with still no heating I paid well for this hotel and ended up with a heater in a horrible room so disappointed"
