Hotel good medium size, lovely pools and gardens, lovely layout and all well maintained and spotless.
Beach was okay but not great, the sea is not as calm and clear as others we have stayed at.
Staff were lovely, ever helpful and very cheery.
Was well done in that one of the pools had entertainment throughout the day and the second was quiet and relaxed. There are also places to sit along the long pool which was nice. The hotel has a good vibe.
Our original room was at the far end where the road noise is quite bad. However, we complained and were moved next day to a room at the other end with much less traffic noise. Both rooms were themselves fine. Comfortable, well laid out and clean with good daily room service.
The main disappointment for us was the food. There are few restaurant choices for dinner, the quality isn’t great and the menus at the restaurants do not change. We also tried out the restaurants at the other two Sandals hotels a couple of times but were also not greatly impressed. The fact that it took longer than expected (40 mins+) to get there in the appalling traffic also made this option less desirable.
Second disappointment was the rip off trips. Don’t bother with the shopping trip - it’s a bus ride to the port shops (really!) plus a very disappointing market.
We took a day trip on a catamaran which was okay though quite expensive and with too many people on the boat.
