SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Access to beach, walkable to downtown along the beach, great view, good amenities, many fire pits, reasonably priced. Has a EV charger, not fast speed, but it’s there. A great stop along Hwy 1 between LA and SF! The AC didn’t quite work, I think they are trying to preserve energy. So you have to open the windows. The air is crisp at night so it’s good. But if you are on the ground floor, you may not want to open the window/patio door for safety concerns as it’s accessible by everyone. It will not be a problem for the 2nd floor."

"I’ve never been to a hotel when they didn’t allow you to check in when you arrived, even if you were a few minutes before check in time. Here they made us line up, outside and wait til “exactly” 3:00. Then the woman that made us all wait, grabbed her purse and left, leaving one poor guy to check us all in. It was chaos, and tempers flared. Some of the guests had driven a long distance and were tired and just wanted to get to their rooms. Perhaps if you want everyone to check in at once, you should schedule more staff to accommodate them. Or, maybe check in and do the paperwork and if the rooms aren’t ready, the guest could wait a few minutes by the pool. If the rooms are ready, what is the harm letting guest in a little early? I felt really bad for the guy having to check everyone in all by himself."

"Large room with fireplace with a shower and a tub. Left too early to check out the breakfast. Staff was very kind and helpful. Restaurants are walkable. They rent bikes!"
