"Beautiful old hotel. Like stepping back in time. Gorgeous furniture and art. Staff was wonderful. Room was very clean. Bathroom was huge. Most comfortable mattress I have slept on at a hotel. Check-in and parking were very easy. Worth the trip back to Parkersburg just to stay here again."

"Our room was clean and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with hot and cold choices. Every staff member we encountered was professional, friendly and helpful. There’s a wonderful Mexican restaurant next door which was so convenient. The only drawback was the long walk to our room. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel."

"The hotel had a musty oder, the carpets were stained, wall paper is peeling off. Needs some upgrades but please dont loose the feel of old. Bed was very comfortable."

"Pros. Nice clean room. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Garden tub was relaxing. Comfortable bed.Close to area attractions. Cons. Large shopping center parking lot in rear was very noisy at night. Kids hanging out and showing off their loud exhaust. The hide a bed couch was very uncomfortable to sit on and watch TV. The exhaust fan in bathroom did not work. Would definitely stay again."

"The trip was ok! We were not aware that the onsite restaurant would be closed for the first two days of our trip! We would have brought much more food from home. The cabin and furniture needs some repairs! Simple! Folks were nice and helpful. River was low but beautiful!"
