"Any outside service that is billed to the room will incur a 17% commission to the hotel as a "service fee". For example, if you ask the concierge to organize a hot air balloon ride for 2 the provider will likely have difficultly processing a direct payment and will bill the hotel -- who will in turn add 17% to the charge just for the convenience. The concierge will also favor the external services if there is a cancellation. None of this is sufficiently explained up front, so you'll be in for a big and irritating surprise when you review your bill at checkout. "This hotel has excellent service. My kids got sick. They have a doctor you can call to get service. The nurse came within an hour, set up IVs and medication. The sheets were changed at 3 am. They have 24/7 cleaning service. Very grateful and pleased with all the attention. They have nurses that take your blood pressure on call since Mexico city is in high elevation. The restaurants were very good. I would certainly come back to this hotel. "
