"Great pub just outside of Penzance - would recommend"

"Overall our room is excellent with the harbor view from the room window. A minor point, the water vessel in the Nespresso Coffee machine was leaking. It will be nice for the staff to check before guests arrival, we didn't use it in the end but reported it. It is a shame but I can always get a good coffee from the cafe near by."

Not everything matches or was updated in the same year, but that is what makes it feel more homey to me. "Breakfast was basic but ok. The spray you're using to clean the bathrooms and wipe down the tables has an unpleasant smell. Room was clean but a bit tired- curtain rail damaged and repaired with a bulldog clip. The view was excellent. "

"The cottage is fine and it is in a nice location BUT the details of the cottage listed on the Expedia website and Sykes Cottages are different and misleading. Expedia shows the cottage to be within the Penzance city centre & 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The cottage is 8 miles (13 kms.) from the Penzance city centre. "This pub was a great stop for us following a day of walking the SWCP. Very peaceful even though it is a pub. It is approximately 1 mile from Perranunthnoe, and SWCP. Bus 2 runs from right outside so ideal for connections to Penzance and Porthleven. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely return."

"The part of the hotel that we given was the old part which to be honest requires a complete refurbishment with a lift as we thought there was a lift but not on our side especially as we were on the 2nd floor and pensioners We were not told what time breakfast was or where to go for it also the shower in our room was intermittent so all in all not a great experience"

"Very clean rooms and friendly hosts. It was quite cool in the evenings with heating only on in the mornings and there was no communal lounge area to sit in so we felt we were confined to our bedroom. "
