"We have known about Dinah's for a long time. It has always been a Palo Alto fixture.
However, we were pleasantly surprised to find the rooms in very good condition with unblemished paint, lovely tile on the floors and shower in the bath and vanity areas, clean and fresh smelling elevators and corridors and very quiet rooms.
The pool area was great with a perfectly heated saltwater pool, great LED lights at night and comfortable lounges, tables and chairs. The bar and restaurant area was
conveniently located just a few steps away.
The tropical ambience, blooming plants and koi pools with ducks was an added highlight. Our family enjoyed our stay and if we were to go back to Palo Alto would book again."
"Really enjoyed our stay here! Bat, lounge, and pool area was amazing and relaxing. We enjoyed the World Cup Watch Party while we were there! Complimentary pizza, popcorn, and house made chips was a bonus! Convenient location to Stanford, where our son was playing soccer for the weekend. Will definitely keep this one bookmarked for future trips to the area!"
"The hotel location is great if you’re going to a concert at Shoreline. Super easy to walk to and from and not deal with traffic. The rooms are comfortable and the food at the restaurant is decent.
This was our second time staying here and I have to say that we dealt with more issues that seem to be staff not paying attention than anything else. When we checked in, we were given keys that had the entirely wrong room number and floor on them. We made it to the room for the keys to not work, and when I went back to figure out what was happening they realized they sent us to a room that was already occupied. We definitely felt awkward because we had been moving the door handle trying to get into a room that may have had people in it.
The second issue came about after we checked out. I got the emailed bill this afternoon to see that someone else’s meal was charged to our room. Now I have to wait 5-7 business days to get my $40 back. I guess that’s my bad for not reviewing the bill before we left, but again, it just seems like mistakes that could be easily avoided."
