"Very quaint and historic property in the heart of Monnickedam. The room was lovely. Old world with modern fixtures. Just FYI, no elevator so request ground floor if you need to. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was very nice and helpful. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Short walk to the bus that can take you to Volendam or Amsterdam within 20 minutes"

"Love this place. Although it is a 25 minute walk into the centre, it is right on the river/sea front and in a lovely community. Great room that was a mini apartment, and has a gym- you can also swim in the river/sea right outside (as some locals were doing!) Good pricing and v friendly. "Had a great stay - the room was nice and cleaned everyday. The receptionists were all very helpful and the food was also very nice. The only thing was the shower flooded the bathroom a bit. All in all a great stay and we shall probably be back next year."

The staff so kind and very helpfull. Cons : When we wanted very early morning to check out, the elevator and lift near hotel wasn't working, so we had to walk around a bit far to the station because we were carrying two large suitcases and we couldn't use the stairs.
