"Sadly our bed (two singles combined) was in need of replacement as it was too soft and springy (we could feel the springs and the beds dipped in the middle. The toilet cistern dripped all night. There was nowhere to hang our bathroom towels - it needed a hook or two in the bathroom for this. I did report these issues calmly to the manager in the morning and she replied that no one else had reported these issues before! The breakfast was nice but we were surprised to only be given half a muffin with one egg - normally eggs Benedict comes with two muffin halves and two eggs. It was tasty though. The hotel was spotless and I complimented one of the housemaids when I saw her in the morning and she was grateful for the positive comment. Location is good, short walk to the centre of Boughton on the Water. I don’t normally complain when I stay anywhere but I was disappointed overall, which was a surprise to me as I had read great reviews."

"Didn’t have breakfast, the rooms are lovely but there’s no lifts and everything is spaced out it was lucky we could park near our room and use the fire exit "

"The check in process was effortless. The room was clean. The shower was amazing. The room was warm and the bed was very comfortable. The gentleman with the beard was very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable. The staff in the bar and restaurant were very friendly and always had a smile on their face."
