The hotel was very attentive to our needs. They were so lovely and friendly. They have so many amenities for the guest. I will book the hotel again when I come back to Chiang Mai.

The Smile Lanna served as a good resting point in Chiang Mai. There are no shortage of hotels in the area, but this one provides a nice, slow pace. The breakfast was exceptional, but dinner and the in-room dining options were...standard. Two things that stand out about this property: (1) THEY DO NOT SERVE ANY ALCOHOL ON SITE. Just something to be aware of. (2) It seems as if everywhere you look, there's a sign telling you that you can't do something. Remove some of the signs and tell customers upon check-in your expectations versus having 'no-no' plaques all over the property.

It sounds like you had a generally positive experience at Smile Lanna in Chiang Mai, but there were a couple of aspects that stood out to you. The exceptional breakfast and the relaxed pace of the hotel were highlights. However, the absence of alcohol service on-site and the abundance of restrictive signage were points of concern for you. It's understandable that these factors could affect your overall impression of the hotel. Providing feedback like this can help hotels improve their services, so hopefully, your comments will be taken into consideration for future guests.

Amazing stay! The loveliest staff we’ve ever come across. The best place we stayed in Thailand & we didn’t want to leave. We were there with our baby & all the staff were amazing with him & the staff went above and beyond to entertain him during breakfast times for us. A very peaceful location a short walk from the old town. Room was very clean & they even put some freebies in the minibar for you every day. Overall 10/10 & we hope we can come back one day.

Good location, accessible to most famous area and not far from airport. Staff is very attentive, friendly and polite. Room is large and clean. Breakfast is superb!!! I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Very centrally located; probably our favorite hotel we stayed at in Thailand (of 6 total) for service, friendliness, and buffet. Right across street from a great, energetic local people's park.

Nicest property we stayed at over a month's traveling. Quiet and lovely gardens but just across the road from the moat enclosing the old city, opposite a city park. Very walkable and red-pickup taxi cabs available to hail on the street. Super clean, nice pool, we had dinner there and it was very good. It is a "dry" hotel so just buy a few beers at the nearby 7-11 and put then in your minibar to enjoy at your leisure. We even had free snacks and pop that were replenished in our superior room. Very clean, quiet and good internet. Great pool and gardens and walking distance to most sites - would certainly return next time in Chiang Mai.

We stayed at the hotel during the holiday season. They had a free street fair with free food and massages. the staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was amazing. A great place to stay in Chang Mai. Convent location within walking distance to the old city.

Absolutely loved this hotel
We absolutely loved Smile Lana. The beds were beyond comfortable and the room and hotel was very clean. We absolutely loved the morning breakfast and enjoyed all the perks included in your stay. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Good location for the Old City. Friendly polite staff, clean hotel and great pool. Free activities for guests to do in the mornings. Happy hour every day at the bar, which is local juices and fruit. No alcohol served at property as it is a well being kind of vibe hotel but free to bring in your own. Would stay again .

Outstanding hotel and hospitality. The staff could not have been more helpful or accomodating. We really enjoyed the pool area, coffee bar, breakfast, view from the room. Would recommend to anyone looking for amazing Thai hospitality.

We have to say Smile Lanna was one of the best hotels my wife and I ever had the pleasure of staying. What made our stay so extraordinary was the employees, everyone helped make our stay so comfortable and inviting Our room was impeccable and the breakfast was amazing. We stayed there 5 days and within those 5 days everyone felt more like family and frankly we were sad to leave. Thank you everyone at Smile Lanna for all that you do for your quest, everyone there is truly amazing!!

The Smile Lanna hotel is an amazing oasis in an otherwise busy spot just outside of the old city wall. A beautiful pool is surrounded by carefully chosen trees, in the middle of the property. Having such a beautiful spot within walking distance of markets and restaurants is a huge reason to choose this hotel. Added to the beauty are genuinely caring staff who go out of their way to make your stay special. In the evening don't miss the roadside snack and drink cafe just outside of the hotel where you can sit and watch life go by while drinking Thai tea and eating warm and sweet roti.

The best hotel I’ve stayed in for this price! All of the staff were friendly, respectful and attentive. They always go the extra mile, even when we didn’t ask for help they’ve thought of what we might need for our day excursion and offered us bottled water, insect repellent and face masks. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, making breakfast experience such a treat. The hotel itself is new and beautifully designed with all the modern amenities. The room was perfect with a gorgeous balcony overlooking the pool. Swimming in the pool is so relaxing and luxurious. I will definitely keep coming back to Smile Lanna on my trips to Chiang Mai!

This place was AWESOME. Really nice rooms, loved the decor. and super clean. The staff was AMAZING. The best customer services i have ever experienced. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Wish all hotels were as well run as this one. Hats off to the amazing staff.

We had a wonderful stay at the Smile Lanna Hotel and from check-in until our departure the staff were amazing. We felt like valued guests and everyone met us with friendliness and smiles wherever we went. The choice at breakfast was great and varied, our room was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. Our only criticism is that the gym facilities are a little tightly packed into the fitness room and although there are 2 cross trainers, treadmills and plenty of other machines we would’ve liked to see a bench too. Also it would be good to have some sanitizer and paper towels in there to wipe down the machines before and after they’ve been used. Aside from that we were very happy to have somewhere to do a workout! An excellent hotel in a great location - we would stay again and recommend to others.

Brand new property. Kindly gave us a free early check in and a free transfer to our next property in Chiang Mai. Excellent location for visiting Saturday and Sunday walking markets and the temples of the old city. Good breakfast and reasonably priced food. Great heated pool and pleasant gardens. Pleasant Lanna style rooms. Exceeded expectations for the price paid.
