I stayed here for 3 nights. The interior I could best describe as warehouse/industrial chic meets traditional. Bare concrete walls with exposed conduit and light switches and dark wooden doors and window frames. I liked the decor but all grey walls could be a little depressing if you spent too much time in your room. I think a feature wall, maybe behind the bed head, wouldn't go astray. The staff were lovely and very helpful. There is not much within walking distance, more of the action (particularly for younger travellers) is over towards Tha Phae Gate, Loi Kroh Rd etc... If you want to stay in nice accommodation in a quiet area I recommend Werun Boutique Hometel.
We stayed for 2 nights total. In the beginning you husband and I only booked 1 night but after we got there we booked the second. Requested to stay in the same unit ( as it is classed as 2 seperate bookings) and they were able to do it for us. Rooms clean and tidy. Bathrooms were clean as well. We were not at the hotel much but when we did drop in the staff were very helpful from into about motorbike hire, organising transport to Pai, cooking class info & Laundry. Would definitely recommend
We needed a place to stay overnight as we weee just travelling through. Staff friendly, courteous and helpful. Rooms very small but clean and comfortable.
We loved our stay at Werun! The rooms were nice and the staff was very accommodating. I will absolutely be recommending Werun to any family and friends staying in Chiang Mai.
Great location - off the tourist path but still close to everything. Mountain views steps outside of my room. Quiet, clean, and the added bonus of kittens living on grounds.
I booked this place because I needed a place to stay for one day while I waited for a flight out from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. I was very impressed with the chic room design, cleanliness and warm greeting I got upon arrival. The staff almost seemed excited to have me there which made me feel special. The girl who greeted me spoke English well enough to communicate. The room itself had a nice design to it. (See pictures). Note; it is a small room with a King bed. It's also made of cement (walls, ceilings, floor) so grey all around.
Great location in Old Chiang Mai. It's on a quiet street but easily walkable to nearby markets. Highly recommend the Fern Forest Cafe which is nearby and walkable. Beautiful outdoor eating area, great food and ambiance!
