Upon arrival, we didn’t receive a greeting and the staff didn’t seem very welcoming or eager to assist. The self check-in kiosk worked, but it would have been nicer to have someone there to greet us and provide a more personal touch.
The elevator also made odd noises, which felt a bit concerning, especially since we were staying on the 8th floor. When we got to our room around 9:30 PM, my husband opened the door only to find housekeeping still inside finishing up. We were asked to wait a minute or two, which was disappointing after a long drive, especially since check-out is typically late morning and our room should have been fully ready by the time we arrived.
Overall, the price was acceptable and the location is convenient with plenty of parking options nearby. However, compared to other Chicago stays, this fell below our expectations for the cost. It feels like a case of “you get what you pay for.”
