"Sorry, but breakfast was a real disappointment. There was very little hot food for us to enjoy. I suppose the cost of food and the effort to prevent waste had let you to limit food available. It was dry. I had difficulty swallowing it. We decided not to eat breakfast at the hotel after that. We paid a lot to stay there. When I compare it to Hampton Inn breakfast, you really fell short. I just have to be honest."

"Overall, this is a great hotel to stay at in La Jolla. It’s a prime location in the village. Everything is walkable ballet was convenient and quick. The room was small, with an awkward angled entrance at the bathroom door. The view from our room was perfect. I did find the bed to be a little bit uncomfortable. We also found it hard to regulate the temperature. With the air conditioner off, it was quite warm in the room. But with the oscillating air air-conditioning unit on, it was immediately...

"Perfect location with a private beach and a wonderful swimming pool! We loved having our own fire pit on the beach, which was set up by the super friendly staff, watching the sunset and making s’mores and having great take-out food and pizza conveniently from the hotel. We’ll be back!"

"Room was clean. Beds were comfy and staff was helpful. HOWEVER, the level of construction going on was intense, and not restful. I am sure it will be great when they are finished, but I question their rates and also the wisdom of their decision to keep the rooms open during what amounts to a complete rebuild of most of their building (at least the one we were in). They were literally tearing up tje tile in our hallway as we were checking out and demoing on tje other side of the wall from us. I...

"The location is worth everything but is a very basic room. I was pleased to see an updated bathroom but lacks other amenities like a refrigerator, microwave or temperature regulation. It was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was confused why I was charged for parking on top of the deposit that I am still waiting to be returned. "A not-so-great area of San Diego, but you get what you pay for. The bed was very choppy, but overall, the room was clean, and the hot water was hot. It's near a train stop, so there is the sound of a train whooshing by and an accompanying loud train whistle. I was alone, but I would not recommend it for families unless that was your only option."
