We had an excellent stay @ The Lamb Inn , beautiful old pub with roaring open fires , lovely decor , welcoming , friendly efficient staff , comfy room & excellent breakfast . Thank you
Overall stay was lovely. Beautiful room and great location.
Only our shower was not working but we only discovered next morning.
Overall great location, great accommodation and nice service.
The room was extremely compact but was fine for an overnight stay. The Lamb Inn was a lovely spot for dinner and the breakfast was fabulous. A lovely quiet location with nice walks nearby.
Really enjoyed our stay here staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean but as we were in a heatwave it was very hot even though they had provided a fan we could not stay in the room for long. Breakfast was cereals, toast, jams dried fruits with natural yogurt the only downside was they could have provided better selection of pastries I would have been happy paying a bit more. We did have a meal in the evening which was very tasty and reasonably priced we come again
A great menu and delicious local ingredients served by friendly staff. Cosy bar/dining area, and stayed very comfortable room in adjoining building. Wine list extensive, if on the expensive side. Its a lovely village and great base for exploring the Cotswolds.
Staff very friendly and welcoming.
There was a fault with the fire alarm on our first night that woke us at 1am and we had to evacuate but the staff were so apologietic for the issue and provided amazing service.

Super dooper!
Great setting. Lovely pub. Good food. Amazing decor & overall feel.
Quaint rooms, comfortable bed. Upgraded to super king room with roll-top bath. Food was amazing in atmospheric pub. Loved coming down to see the fire first thing in the morning. Our dog was given a really warm welcome, which was lovely.
Very nice old country pub, quaint, charming. Pub was nice, lots of locals. Wood fires were good. Walls are a little thin so we could hear noise and music from the bar ( but that shut down by 10:45). Rooms at the other end could have been offered as quieter. We had the included cold breakfast which was fine. Hot breakfast looked good.

A lovely short stay
Beautiful, quintessential Cotswold pub, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome and shown to my super lux room in the adjoining stables overlooking the pub garden, room 10 was large and well appointed with stable door, roll top bath in the corner and modern shower room.
A cold buffet style breakfast was provided as part of the package, hot food is extra. I was fine with the buffet, everything was fresh and delicious. Couldn't have asked for more, thoroughly recommend.

We were told on arrival continental which was lovely. We did order small breakfast for £6 and it was wonderful and filling.
The room was exceptionally clean. OK there is noise at night but let's remember this is a bar so expect it, did not bother us. People so friendly, man in pub invited us to bbq at cricket club across the road. Good cause they are raising funds for. The only let down for me was the cheese platter, 3 crackers two wedges of soft cheese and chutney. Grapes, celery or apple and some hard cheese would have been nice. Never had a platter so sparse. Never mind just a small complaint. I certainly would book here again if in area.
This was an excellent choice. One never knows when booking just what one will find. But the Lamb Inn has been superb in every way. It is very well run by a small staff who were welcoming and friendly. The building is beautiful as is its position and our room was just great. Both nights we ate in the restaurant which was packed by a mixture of locals and visitors and the food was good
The included breakfast was of the continental variety although one could order cooked breakfasts at an additional cost. The provided breakfast was fine although some cheese would have been pleasant
I have only one gripe which is daft really but the shower base was very smooth and slippery and all one had to do was be aware
Overall full marks for The Lamb Inn, Shioton under Wychwood
It’s position roughly equi distant from Burford and Chipping Norton makes it an ideal base to discover the delights of the Cotswolds
The hotel itself was beautiful, the staff were warm and welcoming. We stayed on a Wednesday which is steak night so if you want a meal there make sure you book first as it was very busy. It was also a bit pricey .Went for a lovely Country walk for an hour or so around the area till it got dark. Only down side was breakfast. I only book a hotel where breakfast is included but here you only have cold breakfast (which was ok & good choice) but if you want hot food or a good old fry up, you have to pay extra. When I asked how much extra they said it depends on what you want. I feel this should have been made clear when booking. It was misleading! Only other down side was we were in room 1 and we could hear the hand dryers in the toilets below us constantly till late in the evening but not that much of a big deal.
