"Bad: Nobody picks up the phone, no matter what time of day you call. Check in is a kiosk machine, but doesnt work if you booked with Expedia. No fridge or microwave. Window doesn't open and looks into the middle of the building somehow? Good: Room was clean and spacious. Nice bathroom."

"The Rubens is a fantastic hotel. We only stayed one night, but will definitely stay there upon return to London. The location cannot be beat, only a block or two from Buckingham Palace. The staff absolutely could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They really were fantastic!! The room was comfortable. We had a view of the Royal Mews. Breakfast was amazing. I really cannot say enough nice things about the hotel. Highly recommend!"

"Although our room was spartan in decoration, the staff were exceedingly friendly, kind, and accommodating. I would have liked a bit more storage space and two bottles of water rather than one. The rooms were made up quickly. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The bar had a tremendous selection and a knowledgeable bartender. Also, the food was very tasty. The concierge was a miracle worker. I recommend staying at this hotel."
