"It is a heritage hotel in keeping with bygone times. Super close to the mall. Lovely dining room for dinner with fireplace and candlelit. Food was terrific with alot of choices. Buffet bfast but you can request eggs how u like. Some renovation works currently but all staff and workmen encountered always super polite and helpful beyond . If I were to go back to darjeeling I would definitely stay here.
...the drive from bagdogra to darjeeling is an experience in itself."

"Sinclair's is an older, well-maintained, and attractive property, with beautiful views of Kanchenjunga. The street leading up to it is steep, and then are stairs leading up to the hotel and more to the rooms (no lift), so you need to be all right with that. (We're over 70 and had no problem.) The staff is lovely and go out of their way to help you. I'd single out Bragya--I hope I have her name right--for exceptional service, helping us find a taxi to Bagdogra at a heavily touristed festival...

"Ranjit was welcoming and helpful without pressure. He helped us arrive meeting taxi and carried luggage to leave. Any questions were quickly answered on WhatsApp. The internet is very fast the TV is good for raining days and the view spectacular when clouds lift. 300 inr is a generous fare from station for luggage a short walk has cafes and little shops. Darjeeling is a hill town walking down from here is easy coming back needs a taxi as all hotels do. Not expensive so good value for money."
