"My stay was only three nights but it turned out to be like two separate stays. I was checked into a single room as requested and was initially delighted with it. But I then found that it coincided with football being shown on a large screen TV just yards away in the courtyard from my window, and that my room was next door to a gents toilet open to the visitors (ie public). "Clean room although too small for a queen bed and a made up sofa bed - which I didn’t need. Plenty of parking space. Good choice of food for breakfast. Complimentary water. Nice air con and a fabulous shower"

"Parking is a 2-3 minute walk to reception. EV charging points available. Bar OK Rest of the hotel needs some tlc, outside seating area not weeded, rooms need decor. Self service breakfast, food choices, but low quantity food. Bread in the bar snacks also very low quality, which is a real shame and you are paying hotel prices. Would have expected much better quality…"

"What a lovely find , spend only one night but I was very impressed , the bar garden is delightful , my room was very comfortable with lots of room . Dinner and wine were on the expensive side , but worth it for a treat . Will definitely stay again if I’m in the area !"

"Rooms were clean and fresh and breakfast was very good. What wasn’t so good was that bath towel was damp, either from not being changed or not dried thoroughly. We found the mattress quite hard and sleeping was not helped by the people above us running round at 12:30 pm- assume it was children,"

"Fantastic hotel on the outskirts of the city centre. You’re able to take a nice walk into town. We passed the train station on the way into the city centre so easily walkable from there. It’s close to the curve theatre and the parking is included. The breakfast was very good. The staff here were lovely and made this a place I would return to stay at."

"For the price we paid the hotel was absolutely fine. Lovely leisure facilities, nice biscuits with the tea and coffee tray. Lift’s available. Bar and restaurant and food were good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Sadly it’s all a bit tired. Cracks in plaster around the building, dark decor just in need of TLC but as I said before, this was reflected in a very good price. I would definitely book here again."

"Lovely building (s) with lots of outdoor space and seating. Main building has lots of lovely nooks and crannies to sit in and relax. The rooms are very very dated. Old fashioned( not as in a designed way). No usb ports. Bathroom needed a complete overhaul or at least a deep clean- there is no excuse for mould on grout or silicone nowadays- gave the whole place a grubby feel. Shower did have pretty good pressure though and bed was quite comfy. Didn't have breakfast - only served between 7-9. Has...

"Stayed here many times but disappointed the room (carpet) didn't look clean, bathroom, this is only room with a bath and this will be the third time I've had this room and the bath taps don't work you can only use the shower. Previously I've had water in the room but not this time. Didn't look like the tea, coffee, etc. had been topped up"
