"The menu was limited, expensive and some dishes were poor. The room “Brewery” was small, limited storage, no fridge, tired decor and UNBEARABLY HOT. However must commend the staff for working through the heatwave. Particular thanks goes to Courtney who was extremely helpful and friendly. In summary hotel should investigate the installation of air conditioning or the use of portable air conditioning units for the summer months. "We had a fabulous weekend. The cottage was very easy to find, a short walk from the free car park and a stroll to the main street and many pubs, shops and eateries in Burford. "Perfect cottage for our family of 6. Great location with variety of dining and shopping options, perfect amount of space for the family to spread out or all be in one room together. Beautiful garden. The parking is tight for large vehicles but we made it work. The cottage is cute with historic charm and some low ceilings, but we’re all over 6’ tall found the charm worth ducking our heads for. Highly recommend the Dolphin House!"

"The property was well positioned. The Cotswolds are BUSY, so it was great to have somewhere to stay out of the busyness. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was a great size (room 2). No aircon which was an issue in the latest heatwave. The staff did try to help by putting a fan in the room. We used the restaurant for dinner and there was a wide selection of choices. This can also be said about breakfast."

"What an awesome hotel, everyone was friendly. No air conditiioning, but we survived well. Don't think that if you are from the states, you should rent a car. There are plenty of options for transportation vendors, the hotel will provide you the contacts. Beautiful part of the world."

"The Market Tavern is a little gem and a very welcome find! Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, nice room and bar / restaurant. The star of the show is the food which was superb. A small menu but this means everything is good quality. Prices are reasonable - and worth every penny. With many restaurants now asking £35-45 for a steak, my steak at the Market Tavern was just £24.
