"It’s a nice experience in this hotel. It’s worth while little away from the big city, that’s what we wanted. The amenities within the room and common areas are very good and well maintained. Feels like a new hotel. Staff were amazing and helpful. The typical European breakfast and 24 hours availability of coffee and juices are plus. Only one concern was that the room on the main road side was not enough noise proof."

"Staff were helpful, the room was clean and parking was on site which was nice. The grounds around the hotel were quite nice which had many orange and lemon trees loaded with fruit. Pool was being cleaned when we were there and we would not go into the pool even though staff said that we could. It was quite dirty. The hotel is about a 20 minute ride into the heart of Coimbra. We would recommend a taxi or Uber since parking is very hard to find in Coimbra. "

"We absolutely adored the Quinta da Lagoa. Two lovely pools, great staff, beautiful grounds, lots to do. Just a short drive to both Mira and Praia de Mira, which have great restaurants. About a 25 minute drive to Aveiro. The mattresses are not as hard as most other Portuguese hotels, thank goodness. The breakfast is as good as other Portuguese hotels we've been to: consider it a good continental breakfast, while recognizing that the hot portion isn't so... hot, lol. "Loved the historical charm of the Palace! The room was a little small - couldn’t open the wardrobe all the way because it was too close to the bed. The bathroom was a good size. But the plumbing needs to be updated - the water pressure in the bathroom sink starts strong but then quickly weakens; the water in our sink smelled and tasted like old metal.
