"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "The room was spacius and clean but the shower controls need attention. We enquired about dinner as we were going to the theatee. We were not informed that the hotel offered pre theatre early dinners and so ate elsewhere. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice."

"Good location but the hotel itself was a bit run down. The bedroom was basic and the tele wouldn’t work. Uncomfortable bed and the pillows like rocks. My bedroom 71 was located directly by an access door to the floor and was noisy up till midnight starting again at 5:00am. Extremely noisy in general with people shouting down corridors in the night. Not a very relaxing experience after a long drive and a busy next day."

"The staff were so friendly, so helpful--ordering us a taxi, explaining about the Oxford Bus to Heathrow, etc. The concept of turning a prison into a hotel--wow! Our room was fabulous. The whole setting and what has been done with this enormous golden stone building is so imaginative and fun. Great location for walking/shopping in Oxford. Close to everything."

"We had a great stay at The Store. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony looking down on Broad Street. Thank you! The hotel is immaculate and the beds are very comfortable. After our dinner plans, we had a lovely time in the bar with friends where the seating is comfortable, service was good and drinks choice wide. Our only small complaint was the room doors. They are heavy and really bang when they shut - we were woken by neighbouring rooms in the middle of the night and very early in the morning. Maybe The Store can look into some soft close hinges?!"
