"No air conditioning in room making it uncomfortable in warm weather, and when you open the window to help cool the room the outside noise will keep you awake. Sadly Hamburg is not the German town we expected with limited restaurants and I would consider generally unkept. On a positive the hotel is very clean.
We flew in from the US for a four night stay to attend a family bereavement, I mistakingly booked our Double Comfort room for one occupant instead of two, the hotel charged me another €183 for my wife to stay. I regarded this increase to the the booking price completely unacceptable, and even worse when management ignored me completely when I asked for an explanation."
"The price I paid for a room and breakfast was about £73 per night which I thought was excellent value for money. The bedroom was rather basic but it did include a king sized bed with two separate duvets. The bathroom facilities were rather cramped but did include a walk-in shower.
The hotel itself was away from SBahn and UBahn stations but they were walkable. The number 3 bus however gave easy travel from the Hauptbahnhof, although the stop was not easy to locate, to the hotel. As the hotel was in a one way street the return stop into the city centre was in the next road but easily located.
Breakfast was the usual self service. There was no restaurant for other meals but there were self-service facilities to purchase food and drinks. However the sandwiches did run out. So I would describe this more as a snack service. However there were many eating establishments in the city centre."
"silverfish in the bathroom, tv almost non-functional, cheap and dirty, smelly, no staff, for 1 night it is ok if you get in the room before dark. 25-30 mins away from the Rathaus. if on a budget you can risk one night. otherwise better options in other hotels."
"Enjoyed my stay except noisy neighbour and being so close to the lift especially when the hotel had functions on as they used lift to get equipment out of hotel and they didn’t care about guests staying in the hotel late at night."
"Floor was sticky. Stove broken, 1 pot, no plate nor cup. 1 spoon, no fork nor knives. No towels when I arrived, only a bathmat. I called and texted and at 9am got towels. The hotel is right next to major train lines. My fault for not looking at the map. Trains went till after midnight and started around 5am. Not just one mind you. I stayed 1 night instead of 2 ."
"Nice quiet hotel in a residential area!
Old building but has an elevator, long winding corridor to my room but had everything I needed including parking!
Very helpful staff and a pleasant two day stay, slept in on the first night, tired after a long drive. Had a concert to go to in Hamburg so staye the second night and drove up to Copenhagen the following day!
Perfect…"
