"Very Basic breakfast included but was ok. Expensive upgrade to full English ! Walls on room were very marked and interesting items left in the drawers !! Reception isn’t manned and no one answered the phone or bell when we rang during an emergency which isn’t great ! Shame as location is perfect !"

"Loved that my room was in the main house. My room was small but it faced the garden where I could watch birds and squirls. Missed the hedgehogs. My bathroom was a few steps away from the room and it was good. The shower was pretty small. I got in but could not move around so I decided to wash off in sinks. The staff were wonderful to me. "We were only staying overnight, so didn't get very long to explore, but I really liked this hotel - a lot of character and the staff were very helpful. Only slightly marred by a faulty fire alarm that went off twice in the night, but not the staff's fault and we were reassured that a fix was underway. I would definitely come back again."

"Stayed for one night in Room 8, room was clean, spacious and well equipped looking out onto the garden. Full English breakfast was really good, although tea and coffee were extra cost. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Overall a great short stay, we will definitely visit again! "
