"The staff is top notch, helpful, knowledgeable, good recommendations for local finds. Restaurant next door is amazing (gnocchi was incredible). Love the little kitchens to make a cup in the morning and watch the morning traffic below. Extremely walkable, lots of shops and restaurants even short distances. Staff was super accommodating when we needed to extend our stay unexpectedly over the weekend."

"My mom and I aren’t expecting much in a stay except for basic needs for toiletries, shampoo, soap and a clean bed to sleep in. Upon arrival we were greeted nicely by a lady behind the desk. We were given a room without a number on the door and upon entry quickly discovered the room was nothing like they had pictured on the site or advertised. Very run down. Broken bathroom tiles, dirty walls. Toilet seat didn’t even match the shape. There was no bathroom soap or shampoo, just the empty...

"A unique location, very quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature. A few miles away from Cambridge city centre and a 10 minute's drive from Duxford airfield. I would have expected shampoo/shower gel though, but there's a Sainsbury's around the corner. Sadly, a breakfast option at the premises is not offered, but can be done at Coton Orchards not far away. Two great gastro-pubs nearby for dining. Very friendly staff, will definitely consider to return."

"My bijou little room was on the first floor of the inn (as opposed to some rooms they have in separate buildings). Quite a nice little room but no view and I had to climb onto the bed to open the velux window. When I opened the bathroom window I had unfortunate cooking smells from the kitchen extractor which was a few feet away, so I only opened it outside meal times. There was no information in the room so I had to wait until the morning to get the WiFi code - I think this should have been...

"Going in, we knew we were not going to a 5-star resort. However, the listing boasts a whole bunch of restaurants “on-site” while there are none. For sure, there is a ton of restaurants and bars at proximity - we went for breakfast 4 days in a row to 4 different places that were all within 3-minute walk. Supper also presented a challenge of choice (too many to choose from in the neighborhood), but still… these were not on-site. The hotel itself is very charming with its look from another era -...

"Positives good parking good location , after that all negatives reception and procedures for checking in poor and area felt uncared for . Room felt icky needed complete refurbishment painting tatty carpets need throwing out . I would say unless you are desperate to be in this area give it a miss ."

"Stopped her overnight on return home after ferry to Portsmouth. Staff helpful with some last minute requests. Room a bit small but well equipped. Could do with more space for belongings if staying for more than one night. Lovely to find fresh milk left outside room for us to use in morning. Very good, wide, choice at breakfast. Had meal in evening food good, just disappointed that dish I chose was not available."
