"Hotel in dire need of redecoration throughout.
Carpets dirty, bathrooms tired, cleanliness debatable.
If you're looking for 5 star accommodation this is not for you. More focused at the lower end of the scale."

"A very quiet location with stunning views close to venues such as Hardwick Hall and Chatsworth. It was also a real pleasure to find the Pleasley Mill was having an open day on the Sunday - the chimney can be seen in the distance from the property. These were some of the many places to visit in the locality.
The property provided easy access to Alfreton station.
The property was well prepared and provided a good stepping stone for our weekend adventures.
The only note of caution is the stairs...

"The staff were the best part of the hotel. Clearly someone is good at hiring. Physically, almost everything was a bit crooked and broken (including the door safety lock in our room, Ashover Suite). The Hamburger was disappointing at £18.50, given that it was clearly a frozen burger and cheap supermarket quality. The room was cold, and we could not figure out how to turn on the radiator, so i slept with my clothes on. The room was nice and grand, and i had a lovely hot bath in the morning. ...

"Used as an overnight stop on our way south, location is good, a few minutes from the M1,
Reception staff were very good, bed was very comfortable, only down side was the shower was in need of a deep clean, dirty grouting and rust stains.
Breakfast was serve yourself, plenty full but not very hot."
