"What a gem! This historic boutique hotel truly did not disappoint. The staff were, by far, some of the friendliest and most personable we have encountered in all our travels. Alexis, who tended the hotel’s small, intimate bar, was professional, welcoming, and a pleasure to chat with. She knew so much about the history of the house. James, the concierge, has been with the hotel for more than 20 years. His passion for the property was evident. He genuinely cares about his guests and goes above and beyond to ensure they have a wonderful experience. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The charming courtyard garden was such a lovely touch, and the morning breakfast was absolutely superb. Even the hotel souvenirs were thoughtfully chosen and clever. Rather than the typical items you might find at a hotel, these were things you would genuinely want to purchase and use. I can only imagine how magical this historic boutique hotel must be during the Christmas season. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay. We look forward to returning!"

"We had a very nice room. It was clean with everything we needed. While there was a coffee maker in the room there was not hot coffee available in the lobby. (The Keurig coffee isn't very tasty). The elevator was very slow due to construction. The staff was very nice and helpful."

"We last minute decided to stay in Cleveland for a Guardians game last Saturday. Most of the hotels within walking distance of Progressive were booked or $500+. We were able to find a nice room for a decent price that was less than a 10min walk. The best part was checking in. We got there around 3 and LaToya checked us in. She was absolutely hilarious. She was cracking jokes the whole time. Great people person and very friendly. We will definitely be back."

"The establishment is always nice and clean. However we had some issues with staff. We had purchased 2 drinks and signed for them to be put on our room and upon checkout we learned that our $11.88 bill was in fact $22.88. The receipt I signed was for $11.88 with no tip as to get service as almost impossible. The bartender decided to add an $11.00 tip to our credit card. However when this was discovered the Assistant Manager was apologetic and wanted me to send her an email outlining the evenings events. We’ve stayed here 4 times and have always had great service. This was extremely disappointing."

"We chose this hotel for its proximity to Guardians stadium. We were visiting to see the Royals play the Guardians and do some sightseeing.The hotel itself was located literally across the street from the stadium and had onsite parking (paid) that was great.We walked to the game and it was just so easy. It is walking distance to downtown and its many wonderful restaurants. We visited the Rock and Roll Hall of fame and along the waterfront. That all being said, this hotel is located in the middle of a noisy downtown. There were three events happening downtown on the same night. We returned to the hotel after the game and dinner and went to bed. At around midnight there were 3 LOUD motor cycles revving their engines, and blaring speeches from speakers on one of the bikes. They drove up and down the street for 15 minutes. It was annoying and woke me up, but this hotel is located downtown, so it was probably to be expected. We enjoyed our stay. The convenience of the location far outweighed the noise."

"I pick this hotel based on the proximity to the Cleveland clinic. It did not disappoint me. The hotel staff was amazing, Hugh shoutout to the morning staff for answering all of my questions. As a solo traveler I felt so safe. House keeping was amazing. I am so sad I am horrible with names because they deserve a personal shoutout. Taco Tuesday is a must. Don’t forget to stop at the bar; great selection and you might encounter some great people, I did. Highly recommend staying here."

"The apartment was very nice, very clean. The bathroom is immaculate! The building was not so much. The building is dog friendly, but the dog waste basket outside the entrance door was overflowing with dog waste bags. The smell was unbearable! Great location, you can walk to Little Italy and other nearby watering holes."
