We arrived at the Sonesta Suites Cleaveland Airport
[ 17525 Rosbough Dr. Middleburg Heights, OH.]
on July 19th at 2-30 PM and checked in at the front desk at
3-00 pm, receiving Room #1211.Upon entering, we found the air conditioning unit running at top speed with no option to adjust it,, a kitchen cabinet door hanging off its hinges , a loose and flimsy shower rod, and a toilet thst was not functioning due to a faulty flush valve, The entire toilet unit was loose on its floor mountings.
At 3-00 PM , we returned to the front desk, and the assistant manager assigned us to second room, 1511.
However , upon inspection, we found similar conditions;
No light in the kitchen fridge, with the bulb socket hanging loose,another toilet with a very loose and skakey toilet tanl, and a shower rod in the same poor conditionas the previous room, Overall, the general apperance of both units would not meet the standard of the top of any 3 - star hotel or motelwe have stayed at before.
Additionally , we were charged a $ 100-00 damage deposit that was not indicated on the Expedia website, and although breakfast was noted on Expedia, the front deck staff informed us that no breakfast was available.
We requested that the front desk [ a different manager this time] cancel our reservation, which was carried out with an opology for the inconvenience.We now look forward to the reimbursement of the initial paid amount of
$ 351.42 CAD, along with the $ 100.00 damage deposit,
for a total of $ 451.
