"The staff, particularly Caroline and Kristina, were extremely welcoming. Great location within easy walking distance to the train station and close to sites in the center of old town. One of the best of the nine places that we stayed during our trip to the UK."

"Seven minute walk from the train station. Seven minute walk to downtown this bed-and-breakfast is in a neighborhood very safe. The owner is incredibly nice. If you like a bed-and-breakfast experience, you’ll love this. The only problem we had was the showerhead wasn’t working, but the hands sprayer worked just fine. "

"This is a fabulous place to stay with fabulous staff. The room was also clean and lovely, the warm breakfast was delicious, & parking amenities were lovely. It is also in a perfect location to get to downtown in just a few minutes of a walk. Would highly recommend"

"You will not find a more friendly hotel than this! Even before we arrived we got the sense of how great this would be as I phoned ahead to check parking and was met with openess and a friendly member of the team. Upon arrival, this warm welcome continued and I felt like we were the only people there, so attentive! Breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and great choice, we didn't really need lunch! Overall just a great place - bedroom was fantastic and loads of room for us and our teenager....

"Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. "

"The room was small but clean, had a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The guest kitchen and sitting area was a great bonus and had everything you needed to cook a meal. Nour was the most friendly and helpful host. He arranged a parking permit for £5 pound a day. Easy walking distance to town centre."

"Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying...

"We stayed at Woodhall hotel and spa for 4 nights in the lodges. There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room The building could do with some refurbishment The views and gardens are beautiful The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you"
