"The room was very nice - large and well appointed. The bed was really comfortable. We had a lovely continental breakfast in the morning and were able to sit in the dining room overlooking the bay. Staff was excellent. My only concern was with poor lighting in the parking lot and I did pass that along in the morning. We came in later in the evening and it was very difficult to see where we were walking. Probably not an issue in the busy season when the restaurant is open and people are out...

"Rooms were very clean, adequately furnished and equipped with microwave, coffee maker & fridge. Staff was friendly and easy to deal with. Breakfast was typical of a budget hotel with a variety of cereals breads, bagels with marmalade, jams, peanut butter, cold juices and yogurts. Hot buffet was fresh but I have to say unappealing to look at, eggs and what appeared to be sausage. Overall, the Breakfast was adequate to start the day and the stay was comfortable."

"Parking was easy. Room was very clean, odor free, and seemed to be newly renovated. Did not have coffee maker. The walls must be very thin as we were disturbed all night by noisy guests in the adjacent room. To their credit, they did quiet down, but continued talking all night, which we could here through the walls. No sleep for us."

The whole complex wis in repair, no noticable sign, no pool no amenities at all. If we knew what it was like we would not have booked here. "

I couldn't turn off the porch light either and the light really comes through the blinds. "The room was fine; however, the property is 'sketchy'. I can only hope that properties like Shenstone can improve and offer medium priced accomodation in an area that badly needs it. With non-refunable reservations, I gave up my $$, to stay in a place that was cleaner."

"We recently stayed at Bruce Peninsula Motel and were shocked at the level of cleanliness. The washroom was completely uncleaned — there was even a used tissue with a squashed mosquito stuck to the door, which was never removed. The overall hygiene standards were unacceptable, and it made the stay very uncomfortable. Definitely not worth the money, and I would not recommend this place to anyone."
