"Great castle stay. You can wander around the property and get a look at the other rooms of the castle. Free easy on-site parking. Staff was great. Little pub in the basement with walk-out garden seating to have a beverage. As with it being an old castle, it has and old charm and fun to explore. Bummed the ghost story person was t=not there for our stay - would have loved to hear. Recommended. Only potential issue, there is no lift and 3 floors potentially. Would stay again. "We stayed in the lovely Conon Suite which is very light and roomy with two large sofas. Meals were tasty and generous portions. Staff were really friendly and the whole stay was very relaxed"

"Very tired old property. When they showed us the room it first reminded me of one of the servant quarters in a recent historic house tour. We booked a classic double. The room was damp, full of dusty furniture and the bed mattress springs were gone. There was a tiny window with a view to nothing. We lasted 10 mins and left.
