"Our stay at Tru by Hilton Lake Charles was such a pleasant experience. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Great parking space and convenient. It made our anniversary getaway even more comfortable and enjoyable while we soaked in that beautiful bayou view. I definitely recommend this location and don’t always go by negative reviews, pray about it and see for yourself."

"Friendly staff, great pool. Kitchen lacked enough silverware and dirty dishes when we arrived, floors were sticky and we had to let the hot water run for 20 minutes before it was warm. Parking was a challenge. Over all, nice stay and will consider staying again next time we visit the area."

"The air condition in my room was leaking on the carpet. I could smell the mildew when I walked in but the air freshener the hotel staff used covered it up the first couple of hours."

"Stayed this past weekend. After the service from the front desk agent and managers won’t stay there again. Found in my room next to the nightstand not sure what it is but it looked gross either used condom or hairnet and i didn’t want to touch it. I complained at check out to front desk person and told her about it she said thanks for letting us know and didn’t offer to do anything about it. After that I talked to jasmine the front desk manager she said someone will contact me about it. Waited...

"The location is far enough from the highway to not hear the traffic. Price is reasonable and breakfast was fine"

"Check in was quick and fast. Incidental fee was inexpensive. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was awesome. Everything was great.my husband works in the industrial area so this would be my go to hotel."

"Things were fine except the key card validator wasn’t working and so the front desk literally had to walk each patron to their room and unlock their door with a master key. Act of nature I suppose but when you still charge full price and MAJORLY inconvenience customers (as you couldn’t even leave the rm to get ice without having to have the front desk let you back in) there in lies the travesty!!!"
