"Great little getaway food was great there isn’t a lot of amenities local but to us that’s why we like it ,a little time to wind down Staff friendly and rooms nice and clean "

"As with the HIE at East midlands airport 2 days ago, everything was great. The only down side was that the water in the shower wasn't too hot."

"Only had a very quick stay but impressed with the pub, diner and the room we had, in terms of what it was and cleanliness. Bit expensive though. Staff very friendly, helpful, polite and professional. We’d happily stay there again if we can get a deal. Only thing is pub car park is extremely limited and has half a dozen spaces. However, there is plenty of public spaces around - just need to watch timings but overnight parking seems to be ok."

"The room was really clean. Bath was updated and loved the towel warmer. The rooms could use an update, down-side was is was really dark. More lamps or brighter bulbs would be appreciated. The dining area has great food, we had a dinner and two breakfasts. The full English was more than my husband could eat. All in all a delightful stay. "

"I was nervous about this property having booked in a rush and not having read reviews. However upon arrival I found it easy to park and a lovely entrance with beautiful character features. The ladies in reception were friendly and welcoming and they upgraded me to a superior room which I was very pleased with. "The rooms are basic but functional. The staff are very helpful. Beautiful grounds. The restaurant lacks character. We had dinner at the pub opposite, which was amazing. "
