"The view is totally stunning! The pool was rather cool at 8pm partly because the property is out of the sun. It's a lovely pool though and we had it to ourselves. The accommodation is clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Staff are helpful by message. Would recommend especially as a place to explore the lake by ferry. The roads nearby are pretty busy in July and narrow!"

"Had some difficulty finding the hotel at first thanks to our satnav taking us in the wrong end of Via Poncia through a tiny alleyway - from the right end of Via Poncia (marked by a sign for the Eurogomma tyre place) it's very easy. "Loved this quaint, quiet hotel on the waterfront in Menaggio. We appreciated the breakfast and coffee every morning. The staff all went out of their way to make our stay perfect. They made dinner reservations for us and gave us lots of information about the area. The hotel offers easy access to the ferry dock to explore the other villages on the lake. We highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Menaggio! "

"I normally do not write reviews; but, wanted to for this hotel. It is a small quaint hotel. It actually has a small pool and hot tub with incredible views. It is actually located in Vezio right outside of Varenna. At first, I was concerned about the location from Varenna. However, Rita the proprietor made sure we had transportation from the train station as well as to and from all of our points of interest. We seriously wanted for nothing. "Everything was fabulous at Locanda Della Maria The room was spacious with extra pillows and washcloths Weather was against us but we made the most of it Breakfast was delicious and the staff are so welcoming and helpful Laura helped us to maneuver the ferry and how to get to Lugano Switzerland due to Como being flooded and even offered to drive us Did not realize the hotel was 20 minutes walking from the ferry port but we managed Taxis and uber are expensive but there is a bus "
