Ditto to the other reviews that mention friendly staff, cleanliness, and convenience. Crown City Inn also did not tick any of my pet peeves:
1. Quiet - The rooms are advertised as soundproof and they appear to be. Our room was near busy Orange Avenue but street noise was barely discernible and adjoining room noise was nonexistent.
2. Shower pressure was GREAT. I loved the renovated tile shower.
3. Adequate light and dark - there were plentiful lighting options and we loved the touch control night stand lights so much that we are looking for them for our bedroom at home. Also, the configuration of the bathroom kept the lights in there from shining directly at the bed. Plantation shutters on the front windows kept the room dark at night.
4. Temperature control - we used the AC during the warmest part of the day and kept the fan on at night for a consistent sound and airflow. Very comfortable.
5. Walkability - the Inn is midway between the ocean side of the island and the bay side. There were beach cruisers available, but we hoofed it down to an eating spot and then on to the ocean beach near the Del. It was a nice walk.
Would definitely stay again!
