Room was clean for an older tired property . Very comfortable bed. Easy parking. Breakfast at the terrace was poor little choice and looked very anaemic so just bought a muffin and coffee.

We enjoyed the property. The restaurant was great and service outstanding. You can’t beat the view and the location is handy to hikes and tours. We had a small balcony, just right for two. The walls are a little thin but that’s the only negative.

Only hotel on the national park grounds. Sits right on top of the mesa and all rooms have a large balcony with a gorgeous view! I was surprised that there was no tv in the room, but I guess they’re going for the rustic feel. Room was nice, clean, good gift shop in the lobby. Shower and toilet was kid size, which could be a problem for a larger person.

You can’t beat the view, and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. This was good because our room was lacking expected items (such as soap in any form, shampoo and sufficient towels and washcloths for two people for a two night stay) so we made more than one trip to the front desk to secure these items. Dinner on site is well done, but breakfast, which is a half mile away, left much to be desired.

Great location! Neat and tidy room with a fantastic view! Easy parking. No housekeeping (we stayed four nights). Some room condition issues and coffee maker was broken. Lotion container was empty, but shampoo, conditioner, shower gel provided on wall.

We stayed a few days before Memorial Day weekend, and the end of their “off season.” Our room was fairly clean but the appliances (small fridge and coffee maker) did not work due to a bad outlet. Many of the sites were closed due to the off season and road repairs. The outside lights by the rooms were too bright for any sort of appreciation of their recognition as a Dark Sky Destination. Food in the Lodge was good but the bathrooms in the Lodge and Terrace needed some cleaning attention. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The location was fantastic with beautiful views and comfortable beds. That said the room could’ve used a little more attention, three towels for four people, coffee maker, but no cups and at best nine minutes of hot water. Only one of us got to take a hot shower each day while the others took cold survival showers. We are also disappointed to find the casual dining option closed despite it saying online and confirming with several phone calls that it would be open. Our party with young children felt somewhat forced into dining in the more upscale Metate room. Based on the beautiful location, I would still recommend it, but be prepared for some of the issues.

Liked the view - sunset from the room. Liked the food and service at dinner. Did not like that none of soap, shampoo or lotion dispensers worked. Room and roads seemed run down. Breakfast was at a different location and was disorganized. The manager on duty was very dedicated and doing a great job, but it seemed like she was stretched thin. We hope she will be able to turn things around there as the season continues, because Mesa verde is an amazing place!

Dinner was excellent. Ice machines were not working. The bathroom was missing the fan, although the setup was there. The towels were threadbare and frayed on edges. Hand soap was empty but maintenance brought it right away. Got in shower next morning and there was no conditioner. Staff was very friendly

The staff was very nice and the location is in the national park, But the room description stated that there was a microwave and unfortunately we were not able to make our dinners after arriving late as there was no microwave. They also claim a buffet style breakfast which was not the case, overall very disappointed about the misleading descriptions. Also found cobwebs on the towels which was strange. Otherwise very clean and kind staff

The lodge is old so being in the downstairs rooms is not ideal. The lodge was just open the week before our stay so there was a lot of maintenance and restocking happening. There is one dining option at the lodge and it offers a very limited and expensive range of options. The food was okay but not for the cost. The nearest food is 45 minutes away. If you do bring your own food there are no microwaves in room. The breakfast and lunch option is worse and the service is not good. I’m hoping that the limited options are due to the recent reopening for the season but that doesn’t justify the prices for food. I guess they have no problem taking advantage of people being so remote. The views from the rooms are spectacular and the night sky is amazing! Also being in the park enables you to really spend time doing the great hikes and tours. So yes the lodge is old and dated but the location can’t be beat! It’s too bad that food is costly and limited and the staff left a lot to be desired service wise.

The walls at Far View are paper thin and when I say that, I’m saying you can hear the entire conversation of the people next door. There are no TV’s in the room, so there isn’t a way to block out the noise and your wifi or internet is super limited so you can’t have white noise from your phone. The breakfast buffet that you have to pay for is absolutely terrible. They had no milk, so my kids couldn’t have cereal. The sausages were cold, the breakfast potatoes were cold and hard, no bacon like advertised. The eggs were hard and dry. Something was wrong with the consistency of the waffle batter so they weren’t coming out right. It was a total waste of my money. Had I known it was going to be like this I would have grabbed stuff for breakfast in the way in or driven to town for breakfast. Would I return? No. After being in the park and hiking all day, I’d like a good nights sleep and this just isn’t the place for it. And if I’m paying for breakfast, it better be something far better than what we received. This is something I’d expect from a free hotel breakfast, not something I’m paying extra for.
