"Do not stay here. Hot and noisy AC in every room. The worse sleep in years. Booked a Deluxe room and was given a Superior room without being told why I’d been downgraded. Mistake by the reception team is what I was told. All rooms in the hotel have an AC issue. Management, reception and maintenance all acknowledged this. Even when the AC is not running there’s a constant water cycling noise over 50dB. The fix? Turn off the AC. But in over 30deg heat that’ll give you the worst night’s sleep...
"The staff are wonderful here. The grounds are well maintained and quite beautiful. The jacarandas were in bloom as well. I was travelling in Johannesburg on my own and had excursions booked throughout my short stay, but when one failed to turn up, the lady on the travel desk was quickly able to book something else for me for the same day. The breakfast was very good and I appreciated that we had the option to do a lighter buffet instead of the full meat, beans, eggs etc . The hostess Nokothula was very helpful and attentive.
