"Beautiful. Very relaxing"

"Very friendly and helpful staff, great bar and restaurant, excellent spa, indoor and outside pool options, great access to beach and boardwalk leading to Gaia and Espinho (two smaller cities south of Porto). Rooms also have great view. Very upscale. The only downside is that it’s about a 25 minute car ride to Porto, but the neighboring cities also offer a cool beach town experience (but definitely go to Porto). We would definitely return!"

"This is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The location is a reasonable distance from the busy city of Porto over the river, while still being very accessible on the Gaia side, near the port wine cellars. We booked a studio room overlooking the Douro River with a stunning balcony view of the Luís I Bridge that we had to see to believe. "What a lovely place to stay. The terrace, overlooking the river, was the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Breakfast itself provided and excellent selection too. The staff were very attentive, helping us get connected to their Internet and quickly replacing a malfunctioning kettle in the room. "This was a very nice hotel. The rooms were comfortable with blackout curtains and sound proof walls. There's a small gym on the property and breakfast available to purchase that is brought up to you. There's multiple restaurants, a grocery store, and laundry facility within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again."

"The staff were as helpful as can be, the quality of the amenities to make the stay comfortable was higher than I have typically seen. Probably the nicest place we stayed on our whole European vacation. My only have one thing that I could not figure out and was not so great was the lights in the room since they controlled right inside the door and they’re not labeled, I always have to guess all these many buttons to try and get the right lights on. I wish there was some solution for that."
