Hôtel des Ducs

8/10 Good

"This hotel is right in the center of the city next to the Palais des Ducs. Everything is walkable from here. It's easy to find by car with Google maps but the parking is a difficult thing because of all the one way streets. If you miss the turn you will be lost. Ask them specifically for the name of the underground parking structure to plug into Google maps which is very secure and a close walk to the hotel. It's just a long drive if you get lost! The staff is very helpful. Room was a bit small but it's in the center of the city so to be expected. Everything was clean, bed good. No amenities other than soap/body wash so bring your own shampoo etc. Breakfast was good - nice selection of cheese and meats and premade omelette and boiled egg. They ran out of Dijon mustard for which I kidded them - how in Dijon can you run out of mustard? Nice fresh fruit and bread selection. Very nice stay and I'd recommend and stay there again. Highly recommend Bullion restaurant opposite the entrance to Notre Dame. The Boeuf Bourgogne was outstanding. It's popular - prices are very reasonable for a top notch dinner."

"This is one of the most beautiful accommodations we have ever stayed in. The renovated Monastery was beautiful and we enjoyed spending time in the garden in the evening surrounded by the cloisters. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful city of Dijon. The Staff were friendly and helpful, the apartment clean and the breakfast tasty."
